Finally in The Highchair

Look at the big girl in her highchair! We usually sit her in the 'bouncy' seat to eat (because she still doesn't sit up well on her own), but we quickly had to rethink the situation. Tonight, she practically crawled out of the 'bouncy' seat. So out came the highchair.
Then she was amazed by the animals on the chair...so she kept turning around to look at them instead of eating her pears.

Big smile!

Don't Leave Things Too Close

Uh-oh...someone got their brother's puzzle. Who could that be?
"Stop it Sophie! You're messin' up my puzzle!"

"Here, let me show you."

Looks like she won...puzzle piece made it to the mouth.
I think Zach will learn soon enough not to leave his toys too close to baby sister. :)

Pudding Anyone?

So, this is what happens when you leave (an almost) three year old alone with chocolate pudding. I guess it could have been worse, but he did have it up his nose a little. :)

Out Like A Light!

She was out within minutes and I didn't even know it. I was bouncing her and watching t.v. and when I looked down, this is what I found. And then, as I'm about to snap the second picture; she smiles. How cute!

College Bound

Cousin Danni is off to the 'real world.' She packed up and headed to Waco on Thursday to start a new chapter in her life at Baylor University. We are all so proud of her.
We had a going away dinner for her to wish her off and I snapped a few pics of the kids.
Danni, let me know when you are ready to rush- I can call up the Chi-O's for ya. Ha-ha-ha! Enjoy the religious ed classes and the good 'ol community bath!
Good luck Danni...we will miss you!

Paci or Chew Toy?

This is what Sophie likes to do with this paci now. At one point, she almost had the whole thing in her mouth! Crazy girl! Maybe some teeth are about to pop up...she definitely likes to chew on it.

Getting A Head Start

When asked what he was doing, he replied, "I'm studying" (like Daddy). Notice the blue "cup" (which really isn't a cup but goes to some other toy). That was his pretend water. Such the imagination! :)

Look Into My Eyes...

I don't know why he does this, but it's hilarious! And then when he sees himself with this funny face, he gets scared. Cracks Gabe and I up!

School Days

Zach started his new 'school year' on Tuesday. He is now part of the Playful Penguins class with Miss Jessica and Miss Tremain. He was a little hesitant at first; being in a new classroom, but once he saw some of the same friends, he relaxed. My baby boy was all smiles for these pictures. Such a handsome face!
Something funny he does now is that he says, "Yes ma'am and yes sir." You're probably thinking, "Why is that funny?" Well, he doesn't say it appropriately...he tells ME "Yes sir" all of the time! :) I correct him, but he will still say it five minutes later! :)

Lazy Girl

We had a lazy morning. Sophie was relaxing in mommy's bed, so I snapped a few shots of her. She IS her mother's daughter! :)

6 Months Old Today!

Today is Sophie's 6 month birthday...WOW! My little 'princess pie' is growing fast! It is amazing how much she has grown- but she still seems on the petite side. She is just starting to wear 3-6 month clothing, but some of that still seems big on her. We woke up and I told Zach what today was and he said, "Sophie needs to open her presents!" How funny. She now does this thing when she smiles- she scrunches up her nose. Funny, I used to do this too! :) HAPPY BIRTHDAY SOPHIE!

MMMM Cookies!!

Another Hot Date

For those that don't know, Sophie has a boyfriend. His name is Dane. He is six days older than her; it's perfect! :) We (the 'mexican crew'- because we always go out for mexican food) get together occasionally so that the kiddos can catch up, plan their future, or whatever. But it is always a sure thing that there will be lots of pictures taken! Hugs & Kisses

Sophie was amazed by the camera.
Aren't they cute?
Notice the little eye behind them. :)

Deep in conversation.

MMMM Brownies!!

My Big Baby

Zach was calling me from upstairs. After I figured out which room he was in, this is what I found... in his sister's crib!! He said that he was taking a nap. He's quite the dare devil. I have caught him climbing all over the place this week... my bathroom counter, the chairs in the kitchen to get to something on the counter, Sophie's bed... ahhhh, boys. :)

Our Trip to the Zoo

We packed up the kids and made a trip to the Zoo on Sunday (boy, was it hot)! I was anxious to get out of the house and I figured Zach would really enjoy it. He did like all of the different animals (it was just like on his favorite show, "Diego"). We would be thinking that he was watching some animal, and ask, "Do you see the elephant?" His reply, "Yes." But then we would look and he was checking out the little girl next to him. It was too funny. Sophie was a good girl the whole time. I think she really likes the outdoors. We took a pit stop to rest and have some popcorn and sno cones- and that's the only time Zach freaked out over an animal- the pigeons! Of all things... I guess they were just too close for him to handle. We had a good time- we were all ready for naps by the time we left.

Good sno-cone!

Tired boy!

Random Pics of Sophie

My sweet little girl

Trying cereal for the first time
Kicked back and relaxed

Astros vs. Red Sox

We were 'front row joes' at the Astros vs. Red Sox game! It was exciting, the crowd was pumped! Zachary and Sophie really enjoyed it...well, Sophie didn't appreciate the loudness of the game, but we still had a great time. And we WON!! Thanks Uncle Dan and Aunt Becky for the great seats.

First Time for Everything! :)

This is the first time that I have 'blogged.' I have finally joined the band wagon! A few of my friends have been doing this for a while now...and well, since I have more time on my hands now, I figured I should do it too. For my first entry (to make sure I know what I'm doing): this is my latest favorite pic of the kids. We were at Grandma and Papa's house at the lake. Nothing like a little, quality 'together time.'
