Okay, this is a funny story...Gabe wouldn't let me take any pictures, so you will just have to use your imagination. He probably won't even like that I am posting the story on here, but I couldn't resist...it is a classic! :)
We moved back in on Wednesday night and discovered that our satellite wasn't working. It wasn't receiving a signal, so we figured that the storm probably blew it like crazy and we would have to call and get someone to come fix it.
Thursday and Friday go by- Gabe was at work, so of course he doesn't mind the t.v. being out. I, on the other hand, did mind. I had to watch movies or listen to the radio (the house was just too quiet, yes even with the kids in the house).
So here comes Saturday. The Longhorns are about to play...so my wonderful husband gets the wonderful idea to climb on the roof and see if he can fix the dish himself. To my surprise, he did fix it. Yippee! But as he is on his way down to the ladder, here come the WASPS! One of them got him on the ear! I was still inside at this point. I come out to let him know that the picture came back on and don't see him anywhere. He is still on the roof, hiding to make sure the wasps don't get him again. So now he is basically stuck. Every other part of the roof is too steep for him to walk on and the wasps are where he should be able to get down the easiest. I stand there with him, trying to figure out what to do. We don't have any wasp spray, and we didn't have any other idea except for him to jump. I left him to his thoughts. I waited inside for about five minutes, went back outside and heard a thud on the other side of the house. He did it...he slid down on the steep side and jumped. But I couldn't see him. I called out, no answer. I called out again. Then I see movement on the ground. After jumping, he had to lay down and recover. He is okay (thank goodness), satellite is fixed, and everyone is happy.
Gabe said, "Damn wasp, I hope he died after he stung me."

that is hilarious!! I totally pictured him like a little kid hiding all stooped down so the wasps cant see him! Thats just as good as our story about Kevin and Our ceiling that has a HUGE hole in it!
